Four people have been killed in a small-engine plane crash at Atlanta’s DeCalb Peachtree Airport in the US state of Georgia on Friday, a fire department official has confirmed.
The Federal Aviation Administration said the Cessna 210 crashed and caught fire. A video from a mobile phone shows a small plane crashing near the runway, seconds after takeoff.
At least 15 firefighters stationed at Declub County Airport rushed to the runway and quickly put out the blaze, Capt. Jason Daniels told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution from the scene.
“We are confirming a death,” Daniel added. “Three more deaths were confirmed a few hours later.
