“Health and Medical Research” – Global Investigative Journalism Network

We welcome comments, which can be left at the end of any of our systematic story reviews or at the end of any of our blog posts.

But before leaving a comment, please review these notes about our policy.

You are responsible for any comments you leave on this site.

This site is primarily a forum for discussions about quality (or lack thereof) in journalism or other media messages (advertising, marketing, public relations, medical journals, etc.) that do not want to be a forum for definite discussions about medicine or science.

We will remove comments that do not list the full name and an executive email address from personal attacks, baseless allegations, unverified claims, product pitches, profanity or anything else. We will also remove any threads of repeated comments. We do not provide medical advice so we will not answer questions for it.

We do not have enough staff to contact every member who leaves such a comment. If you have questions about why your question has been edited or deleted, you can email us Feedback @ healthnewsreview.org.

Problems with the many comments left on science and science news / communication websites have recently attracted attention. “ReadOnline Science Comments: Trolls, Trash and Treasure

The author of View return comments policy Requesting Comments:

“Draw light, not just heat. Facts, challenges, disagreements, improvements – that’s all right. It is not acceptable or helpful to attack a person instead of an idea or an explanation. ”

We are also concerned about “anonymous comments. We ask that all commenters leave their full name and provide an actual email address if we think we should contact them. We may delete any comments left by anyone who does not leave their name and valid email address.”

And, as mentioned, any type of product pitches – pushing treatments, tests, products, procedures, physicians, medical centers, books, websites – are likely to be deleted. We do not accept advertising on this site and do not provide it for free.

Ability to leave comments expires after a certain period of time. You may then be unable to comment on an article older than a few months.
