They were added to the Snapshot version 20w45a of Minecraft, with more textures similar to theirs. Copper blocks In the next version 20w46a update.

As in real life, the primary purpose of an electric pole in a minicraft is to return to electricity. Meaning electricity is kept away from flammable constructions, objects, crowds and villagers.
This allows players to build the exterior of their home with a greater range of materials, without having to worry about large fires starting as lightning storms.

How to make an electric rod in Minecraft?
Crafting an electric rod in Minecraft is fairly simple, and only requires 3 Copper ingots.
Players must use the craft table to arrange these copper ingots on top of each other in a similar fashion as seen below:
How to Use Power Rods in Minecraft?
The power poles below can be placed evenly on any other block in the game.
Players can choose the optimal location to place the electric pole, while keeping in mind that it only saves around -2 block radius (in bed 64 bedrock version)).
A good place to keep electricity poles is within the village. This is because it prevents the villagers from turning into witches, which gives the players a new achievement with the title “Surge Protector”.
