Square annex Dragon Quest XI announces: Flame of Fat in the stream today, celebrating the thnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn. It has no release date, although Square Enix notes that it is targeted for a simultaneous worldwide release. We don’t know which platform it is going to.
This will be the first entry in the main Dragon Quest series since then Dragon Quest XI Released in 2017. The game became a hit, selling over a million copies on multiple platforms, including Switch, PlayStation, Xbox One, and PC.
We didn’t see much. The trailer revealed the game’s logo, which you can see below.
Stream noted that the game includes a good amount of player choices, which may set it apart from Dragon Quest XI’s more linear narrative narrative. It also shows a revised war system.
“Orders should not be removed,” series producer Yuji Hori said via a translator. “It will be interesting.”
The first Dragon Quest began in 1986, introducing the original Final Fantasy. It became the father of the Japanese RPG genre, and its aftermath is often true in basic JRPG foundations such as basic combat and world maps.
Dragon Quest has always been more popular in Japan than in the US, but Dragon Quest XI attracted a lot of new fans (including me) thanks to its strong critical reception and widespread availability across multiple platforms. Dragon Quest XII can build that speed.
