Wes Anderson’s long-awaited feature “French Send” has been confirmed to have its world premiere at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.
Searchlight has not set a release date for the film, which stars Timothy Chalmet, Benicio del Toro, Tilda Swinton, Siorse Ronan, Adrian Brody and Bill Murray. [Source: Variety]
Lionsgate has won the rights to “Fascinating Rhythm”, inspired by the life and works of Irwin Winkler and Martin Scarse’s musicals and composer George Gershwin.

Netflix picked up the second season of the drama series “Firefly Lane” starring Katherine Hegel and Sarah Chalke, focusing on their decades-long friendship.
The show received 49 million views worldwide in its first 2 days, beginning at No. 1 on Nielsen’s Streaming Rankings for the week of February 3rd, marking the first time the Hegel-led TV series had earned a renewal order. [Source: THR]

Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures have announced that “Spiral: From the Book of So” will launch exclusively in the first US PayPay window in October.
Additionally, the film will reportedly hit the PVOD platforms in Canada on June 1, more than two weeks after it hit theaters on May 1. The film has so far grossed just २ 2.5 million worldwide after two weeks in theaters. [Source: THR]
